Looking for the code? Go to the Open Verificatum project!
Verificatum AB specializes in designing, analyzing, and implementing advanced cryptographic protocols as well as advanced consulting in cryptography and is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
It is a spin-off company of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, one of the top universities in Sweden.
Our products and expertise are based on more than 35 years of research of the cryptographic community, and specifically more than a decade of our own research and development. The original project was funded by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research.
The founder Douglas Wikström is an Associate Professor in Cryptography at CSC KTH. He invented several of the protocols, abstractions, and techniques that we have implemented, and that are used in several research projects and in the industry.
He introduced the definition of a universally composable mix-net, he gave the first proof of security for the type of mix-nets commonly used today, he has broken several proposals in the literature, and he was the first to complete an implementation of a fully distributed and provably secure mix-net faithful to cryptographic theory.
After the release of our software as free and open source running the company is a low-priority side-project for the founder, but we may enter consultancy agreements if they are in line with the Open Verificatum project contain academically interesting work.
We would be happy to recommend serious companies which develop complete tailor-made voting systems, who provide services, organize elections, and who act ethically.
